BSC employs a wide variety of technologies to effect production in our small products division.

Thin Ply Lamination.
Well documented within the composite industry with major strength to weight ratio advantages. Gains of up to 100% strength increase for the same GSM laminate. Weights as low as 30g/m2 and up to 400g/m2.

BSC works closely with a well known pre-preg manufacturers that provide B.V. Aerospace certified products to match the demands of our special projects.

 

Forged Composites

Working closely with our pre-preg manufacture BSC is developing Forged Composite solutions.


 High temperature tooling.

All created in house, BSC’s system of master and mould production in composite that are matched to the CTE of the part, are dimensionally stable at high temperature and pressure guaranteeing precise repeatable parts. All masters and tools are produced digitally on our large and medium format CNC machines. Additionally, BSC’s unique ability to combine composite and steel tooling (in the same tool) allows us to make parts that others cannot. Traditional metal tooling is also available.

Machining Capabilities

3D printing, 3 & 5 axis routers, 3 axis machining centre’s, full metal machine shop with experience in Stainless steel, Titanium and electric coatings of alloys.

Production capabilities

Large format Autoclaves in diameters of 2.1m, 1.3m, 1.8m, and lengths between 7m and 14m for efficient production cycles and volume of parts. Very large heated spray booths with separate forced Infrared curing of coatings. Large scale prepreg plotters and laser cutting supplies the front end of production.
